Roger Federer has matched the legendary Björn Borg's record of winning five consecutive titles - one can read at www.wimbledon.org, in the BBC site, everywhere. But, if I unroll the Roll of Honour cited at the tournament's website, I shall read that William C. Renshaw won six times in a row in 1880's. Besides, in the years 1902-1906 (thus when the tournament had already assumed an international character) Laurie Doherty accomplished five consecutive wins. So, why? On what grounds are Renshaw's and Doherty's achievements so systematicly ignored by the media? 2. The Middle Sunday. Why didn't they order matches on the Middle Sunday, despite the delay caused by rains had been so substantial already in the first week? As result, the best contestants in the junior tournaments had to play as many as three (sometimes even four) matches a day in the second week. I was appalled. Is Middle Sunday more sacred than the teens' health? 3. Why isn't there a court No. 12 on the Wimbledon Grounds Map?
