This message addresses the native speakers of English from this board (preferably British). Do you remember the funny mistake made by a BBC journalist who were to interview another English journalist, an IT expert Guy Kewney, and instead of that examined a Congolese guy? Will you please help me to find the precise translation of one Mr Goma's answers? Asked whether he was surprised by some legal verdict, Goma answered: I am very surprised to see this verdict to come on me [...]... I'm not sure about the meaning of the phrase come on me. Did Mr Goma mean that he was surprised by the verdict itself or he meant he was surprised by being interviewed about this matter?
