Sounds like a History issue... the threads are individual url addresses, not php/cgi generated-type webpages.
Have you tried deleting your IE History and cache? (this might require a reboot depending upon what you have controlling your OS management.)
You could try searching through MSDN/KB at support.microsoft.com.. and in the microsoft newsgroups (available online with registration at http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/default.mspx )
And if that doesn't work, I'd complain to Microsoft.
