I havr worked with two NGO's on reproductive health,both focusing on HIV/AIDS doing voluntry counseling and testing/family planning.in my experiance i have found out that the informed people that i come in contact with are scared and more concerned about HIV in perticuler forgeting that its not the only desease that is associated with sexual and reproductive health,and if found negative they feel they wont contact it and thus become careless,forgeting that they might be cariers of other viruses that might lead to other diseses that might be deforming or harmful if not detected on time.in my experiance,i have found out that people are still very much uninformed and ignorant of their sexual and reproductive health.I want to start and NGO that will really reach out to the people and let them know the importance of being concious of their reproductive health.Afriend's mother just died of cervical cancer,and because she is illitrate and uninformed,it was dicovered to late because she told her children abroad that she was diagnosed of stomach ulcer because she dint know and dint know what the doctor meant,a brother dint know he had syphilis because he was HIV free thus forgeting to check himself until it was too late.
Our people are ignorant of somany things and i feel we need a radical and more focused aproach to diseminating information.
