The advantage of the new (ugly) supersports is the fuel injection. The carb bikes had some imulsion wear issues. Besides being easyier to start, carbies can be quite cranky in the morning, the FI engines make power over 1000rpm more. This is due to the carbies having long intakes. This limits high rpm operation. The carbies stop making power after 7500rpm. The FI engines will run to 8500.
