Hi all, my name is Bill and I'm 28 years old. I was first diagnosed with scoliosis when I was 11 years old... It was VERY hard on me since I had no one to talk to and was under a great deal of stress, I went into a DEEP depression that pretty much ruined my whole childhood and teen years, I even tried suicide a few times. After I refused to ware the brace I finally had surgery but was left with a huge scar and a little bit of a hump. I've been to many doctors and therapist about my depression but still suffer... I'm not a bad looking guy but have VERY LOW self esteem and hardly any friends. It seems like my whole life was effected by scoliosis and I'm really tired of the loneliness and depression... Can anyone else relate???? I know I should have handled my scoliosis better when I was a kid, but I had no support and everyone in school made fun of me and really hurt my feelings, plus my dad drank too much and always fought with me.
Anyhow, I need some advice.
Thanks, Bill
