Posted by Denise I decided to explore the world of alternatives. I tried a lot ( which wasn't covered by insurance ). I decided to look for a good chiropractor. I found one that understood my financial situation. So we made a monthly payment plan that I could afford. It was like buy one get one free. Anyway after seeing the chiropractor for 1 year, my scoliosis is now a 67 degree curve. I hope this helps.

I am a 47 year old woman with a 72 degree curve. I found out when I was 11 yrs. old that I had a 13 degree curve. I wore a brace for 2 years just to find out that when I stopped wearing it,my curve began to get worse. At age 13 I refused to have a rod put in my spine. I just lived with my curve. I became a bus driver in 1983, which didn't help matters. In 1997 I was told I could no longer drive a bus. I applied for disability and was denied! My spine doctor told me that surgery was too risky at my age. He said he could fuse my spine. I refused that too.
