Weights are placed at certain points on the body (forehead, side of head, shoulder and/or hips). These weights cause a contraction reaction by specific muscle groups, and in the process, change the position of the patient's spine/posture. Individual responses vary, and depend on factors such as the degree of curvature and the condition of the muscles, ligaments and discs.
