Posted by Colleen I'm not a doctor, but i did receive the surgery when i was 16 (in 1995) at that time your curve had to be almost 60 degrees off to be considered for surgery option. It was a very horrible surgery that puts you out of commission for a while. I wouldn't recommend it.
