Our daughter, at 12 had a 29 curve was prescribed a Boston Brace and told she would have to wear it 23 hours a day. She was horrified to say the least...and I wept for her..
I researched online and found the Providence Brace which is only worn 8 hours at night. The doctor agreed to let us try it and her curve went down to 19. Her friends were very excepting. She even took it to sleepovers.
At 14 he had her stop wearing it for a while and the curve is up to 24 so she is sleeping in it again. BUT...she wears in religiously..I'm not sure would have done this with the Boston Brace...
Just hoping this option could help others
