Hi Melissa,
How old are you now? I cannot see getting my daughter to go for surgery. Not anytme soon anyway. She will not let anyone touch her. It would be so bad that I would not even be able to get her in the car to go to the hosp. for it! We are trying the alternative for now. She has weights put on her head and arm and had x rays taken. When wearing these weights her lower curve went down by 6 degrees and the upper went down by 2. We will keep doing the pettibon technique and have her do all she has to do to keep up with it. Within the next 6 mo she will get x rays again to see if its working. Its worth it to us to see if it will work. If not, I cant see my daughter getting surgery unless it gets really bad. Right now her curves are giving her no problems. I would love to hear your story! Bonnie
