hi everyone, my name is katka and im 23. i live in the nova/dc area and im getting spinal fusion this summer...im upset because i recently found out that both my thoracic and lumbar spine will be fused. when i was a teenager a specialist told me that my lumbar curve was a compensatory one, so when my (new) specialist told me id be getting fused in my lumbar as well as upper back, i felt shocked...i assumed he would only fuse my upper back, and the lower part would self-correct...well i guess not.
