I am a retired newspaper and magazine reporter and editor from Manhattan and experienced bluewater sailor, 72 years old, living aboard my Hans Christian 38T that is now in Trinidad. I seek a sailor woman, fifties to 64, with offshore and/or liveaboard experience, for cruising this winter. I require full sharing of expenses other than boat repair and maintenance and would prefer a woman who has sustained long-term relationships, has raised a family as I have and who is cerebral, curious, creative, cultivated and reasonably sane. It helps to be accustomed to the outdoor life: my boat is a fine sea boat but has no airconditioning, tv, microwave, telephone or similar conveniences. The usual criteria apply: no addiction to drugs, alcohol or tobacco and the high level of athleticism and agility that active sailing requires. I am trim, 5'10" 158 lbs., good-looking, somewhat ascetic in my tastes and habits and of equable temperament. I am available because my erstwhile cruising companion has returned to New York and to work; we remain close, however. This sort of adventure requires gumption: go ahead and take a chance. Photos are available via e-mail.
