Teacher wants to crew for summer

I'm a middle school teacher and single dad in California seeking a crew position anywhere. I do have an 11 year old child with me.
I have daysailing experience and a burning desire for cruising knowledge.
Although I lack extensive sailing experience, I will ask questions, follow direction and am motivated to learn.
