Happy 134th Anniversary to the Forth Bridge. On 4 March 1890, the rail bridge was opened by the then Prince of Wales, who became King Edward VII. The bridge connects Edinburgh and the Lothians to the Kingdom of Fife. It crosses the Firth of Forth (Firth being Scots for Mouth of a River).
