: You raised a good point about whether or not
: Prince Charles and Andrew Parker-Bowles were
: friends. After scanning the books I have on
: the matter, I can see you're right. They
: knew each other, but not to any degree of
: closeness. I’ve been as guilty as anyone
: about spreading the notion of a close
: friendship between the two. Others posted
: messages about a friendship and I believed
: what I read. They were mistaken as was I.
It's very tempting to believe what others have posted when it's something that you want to believe, whether it's something bad about somebody you don't like OR something good about somebody you do like.
:
: When speaking of Prince Charles having
: extramarital relations with Mrs.
: Parker-Bowles, the term “fellow officer”
: seems more appropriate than “close friend.”
The censure on committing adultery with the wife of a fellow officer makes me wonder if the military thought it was okay with the wife of an enlisted man.
:
: Thank you, all of you, for raising the
: question and clarifying the matter.

That you for accepting the evidence. Not everbody is as open-minded.
