The BBC has really lowered it's standards in the past several years and yes, it is displaying a double standard. The ruckus the media raised about not only Prince Phillip, but a few years back there was an outcry over the labels the Queen Mum used over her years in referring to different groups of people. Apparently it's okay for a third rate comedian to use these gaffes to gain her 5 minutes of fame. It's just wrong.
