By the obsession with Celebrity, I don't meant the Beatrice and Eugenie should try and emulate it..not at all.I am just saying that is how the press act, so they show the girls as always going out, etc., when for all we know they are spending 90% of their time in the library. They are usually in dresses as opposed to jeans, and some of the styles are not the best, I agree, but the pie crusted collars of the early eighties, the shoulder pads of the mid eighties, the bell bottoms and polyester of the seventies- they all look pretty ridiculous now. I personally love the thirties tea dresses, forties suits, fifties Grace Kelly look and the sixties fun but lady like dresses. But that is just me!
I have often wondered on some of the people fergie chooses to hang out with (she always has the celeb of the moment) and Andrew is so naive he doesn't know what is good for him. At least the girls are going to university, the first females royals so closely related to the monarch to do so. They should be given some credit for that!

: I understand what you are saying, and I do
: think they should do more for charity, etc.,
: but I think that sometimes it just does not
: get reported when they do. A@nd I know
: there are people who don't like Harry, but
: they are usually those who don't like the
: royals....I agree that his early behaviour
: was a bit to be desired, and the Nazi
: uniform was utterly distasteful, but he has
: redeemed himself with his military career.I
: don't necessarily think it is a Diana vs
: Charles thing either...the boys seem very
: much Windsors and not Spencers.
:
: I don't always agree with everything they
: all do, I just don't think drinking at a
: club is such a bad thing. Unfortunately, the
: world is changing, and this is the world we
: live in. It isn't the girls who necessarily
: need to change, it is society in general-
: the obsession with Celebrity, etc, has
: gotten out of control Drugs are out of
: control. Etc.

: Drinking at a pub isn't wrong at all, but
: that's pretty much all they are seen doing.
: And apparently that's fine with them because
: they have taken no steps to alter that
: public image. Whatever excesses are being
: celebrated by the lowest common denominator
: in society, I don't plan on participating by
: offering my own personal downfall. There
: are standards to be upheld and even if I am
: the last one standing there properly attired
: and behaving like a lady I will continue to
: do so until the end of my days. It's a
: shame that so few of Her Majesty's
: grandchildren will be there with me.
