: George I, for one. A couple of the Henrys in
: France come to mind, too.
:
: The bottom line is that Beatrice and
: Eugenie seem to expect to be treated like
: "normal" people when it suits
: them, and then want to go off and party when
: they feel like it. Same thing with Chelsy.
: We can dismiss their behavior as
: "well, lots of people do that and
: they're behaving like typical people
: do," or "lots of people drink like
: that and party hard during the week and
: their bosses are accepting because it's part
: of the culture" or whatever (and, for
: the record, British friends of mine--born,
: raised, living in London at this very
: moment--don't behave like that. Why?
: Because, even in the UK, people need to be
: at work sober, feeling fit, and ready to do
: their job). Beatrice and Eugenie are not
: "normal" and along with that comes
: responsibility. And as far as I can see,
: they're not behaving responsibly.
:
If Beatrice and Eugenie REALLY wanted a more "normal" life and to be just like everybody else, all they have to do is go to grandma queen and tell her they want to be styled "Lady" like Uncle Edward's daughter. But it's not going to happen because they either enjoy being proincesses and all that comes with it and/or they realize that they are their mother's meal ticket and being the mother of two HRH Princesses pays better than being the mother of two "lady Firstnames"
