I don't think they really do get upset, though.
one thing I would like to mention- and this goes for anyone coming out of a club, not just the royals....have you ever been somewhere when someone very famous is arriving or leaving and the paps are all around? The flashing of the lightbulbs would make almost everyone look like they are out of it, especially when coming out from the darkness of a club. I just don't think the Europeans are any more discreet, I just think their press is more respectful. As an great friend of mine says, you read the Daily Mail, and you end up hating everyone! And the Daily Mail is the respectable tabloid. I also think I would prefer having a royal who is out and drinks once in awhile than someone who does all sorts of seedy things, but behind closed doors.
And I agree that dancing midgets is poor taste, but Beatrice didn't know they would be there. I do think she needs to watch who she hangs out with, though. Eugenie seems less star struck, but I wish she would stop smoking! Again, something more people do here than in the US. I don't like it though, but Beatrice doesn't smoke, and by all accounts, she is a nice girl that people like if they meet her.
One more thing- Annabel's, where the girls went after Fergie's party, is not a nightclub in the sense you may think. It is really an old fashioned supper club with a small dancefloor and old world service. Wonderful place, and not the kind of place you would ever disapprove of!

: It's been said over and over that the
: young Windsor's want to be normal, but
: neither the press nor the young Windsor's
: can get it that they aren't, nor will they
: ever be normal. They couldn't live the lives
: we commoners live at least not mine. That
: excuse is invalid to me.
: Yes, I'm aware that their European Royal
: counterparts party, but they seem to be a
: lot more discreet plus the studies they are
: following at University are more intense
: than those of William, Beatrice and Eugenie.
: The whole thing for me boils down to the
: fact that William, Harry, Beatrice and
: Eugenie are the Royal Family and their
: actions and antics reflect back to their
: Grandmother the Queen.
: If they want to have fun that's fine with
: me, but then they shouldn't complain and get
: upset with the media because they go to very
: public clubs and then are photographed
: coming out looking like hell because they're
: drunk. The press thrives on that and these
: Royals provide it for them. Duh.

: No, she isn't behaving like a
: "normal" university student--she's
: regularly seen at glitzy parties and social
: clubs, and she seems able to take off time
: whenever she wants. I also went to
: university and, while I did do my share of
: partying, I also buckled down and worked.
: Beatrice and Eugenie seemed to have gotten
: the party bit down, but not the work part.
