Hello, Emma. Is your employer signed up to Investors in People or do they display the Disability Friendly logo? If so, sacking you because you went sick might cost them the right to claim such accreditation? It's a long time since I worked for the CAB so, I suggest you visit your nearest CAB or another org giving Welfare Rights advice or, if you are a member, your trade union.
Are you now back at work? Could be that they just want to rethink whatever it is you do and whether there is a better, less stressful way to conduct the job and what they expect of you?
You've armed them with info on Crohns, and that isn't a bad thing to do it may be to your credit. But, why not be proactive and get yourself clued up on your employment rights and arm yourself with the options - save them overwhelming you when they come back?
