Energy drinks not good

Nickie, is it the sports or those 'isotonic' type energy drinks you've been having? those are absolutely of no use to us Crohnnies at all, they're designed purely to give a 'quick sugar rush' after some strenuous exercise. They do not contain all the nutrients that are needed to supplement the malabsorption symptoms of IBDers.
Has your doctor checked your blood for Iron AND vit. B12 deficiency. What a lot of gps seem to not realise is that the ileum is the part of the digestive system that takes B12 into the blood, so if your bowel isn't working properly you may not be absorbing enough B12, and B12 is necessary for allowing iron to work properly. That could possibly be contributing to your lack of energy. Do get it checked hun, because long term deficiency can lead to lots of other problems, eg anaemia, pernicious anaemia, memory loss and dementia.
