Hope your weekend wasn't over stressful for you and you weren't doing too much of the 'Daddy do'
Mothering Sunday has been celebrated in the UK since at least the 16th century. It has been a day for giving thanks for all the things our mothers do for us and is always the fourth Sunday of Lent.
Most people here now call it 'Mother's Day' in line with the US (where it's celebratedon the second Sunday in May), others choose 8th March which is International Women's Day.
Call me old fashioned or 'uber traditionalist' but I still prefer to keep our 'Englishness' and will continue to refer to it as Mothering Sunday, even though sometimes when I say it I get some very strange looks lol.
Please Remember , this is a place of support and friendship. Please treat everyone with the respect they deserve. There are going to be differing of opinions between members and venting on bad days ........ If you disagree please , don't argue, or attack personally. Thank You
