I'm sorry to hear about your son... It must be heartbreaking as his father to find out he also has it...I hope that the medication kicks in and works its magic for him.
I'm a believe that Crohns - IBD is hereditory..i know they say it isn't but my mums father and grandmother both has serious bowel problems and both eventually passed away with bowel cancer years later - at that time - bowel problems werent talked about.
I actually said to my mum last week what your son said..my mum started crying.. Most of the women in my mums side of the family had their wombs removed before they turned 35 and now i have to have mines removed now... Shes devestated about it.
