Hi all and I hope that you are all doing as well as you can and that you are managing as best you can.
For those who remember Jo, diagnosed at 15, full illeostomy at 15.6, major surgery last year to remove rectum.
Well her Crohns is not responding well again and the scar here they removed the rectum is opening up, The plastic surgeon says there is nothing he can do as its the Crohns that is causing this.
She has been referred to Nottingham where they are doing Stem Cell research and interviewed to see if she is suitable for this trial and if she agrees. (Being 22 she is madly in love with her hair and is scared about it all falling out)
The trial is having good results with patients going into remission and managing to remain there. There are risks, and they are scary both to her and me as her father.
I am away for three weeks but will hopefully know theirs and her decission when I get home.
I'll obviously keep you all informed.
Neil
