Had a great weekend at the coast, sun was shining, we looked around the area with an eye to where its quiet & away from tourist spots & found some nice looking properties.
Although it was only a short break & i felt totally knackered when we arrived home Sunday evening it was good to get away for a while.
Had my CT scan yesterday morning, one of the few tests ive never had!!
It was not pleasant taking the gastrografin mix, even worse when i had the IV dose of dye shot through my body. There was a warm feeling through my body as they started the IV dose.
It didnt help by the fact they had to do a total body scan so my arms were almost dragged behind me laying on the bed whilst having my lower half raised up.
The dye wooshed through my body & it felt like i had hot water coming up my throat & someone had there hands round my throat as well, i was gagging to be sick
but held off.
When the tests had finished i looked rather flushed apparently & said i felt sick so they gave me some water & a couple biscuits & asked my to hang around for a while before we left.
Sorry to put anyone off if they ever need a CT but its best to know whats involved. Apparently women feel as though they are going to pass water whereas men feel this hot flush when the dye is put through the body.
All ive got to do now is wait at least a week before i can contact my GP to see what the results look like .
