Hi Sue.
I've never heard of it until now. I looked it up on the net and read a little about it.
Only advice I can offer is to be there for him and give him all the support he needs, which I know you probably already do. I found a support site for auto immune hepatitis that might be helpful for both of you. I'm not sure if it can be linked to his crohn's, but it's possible as its an inflammatory condition too.
I hope he's doing ok, and that you are coping too. Keep in touch and let us know how you both are.
