Hello all. As you know I had laproscopic resection of the small bowell on the 17th of Dec and came home happily on the following Sunday. As the week progressed, I didin't get any better and on Friday the 26th Karen took me back to the er. I had small bowell swelling and 'almost' total blockage again. I was hopsitalized and put on steroids, antibiotics, antiinflamatories, blood thinners, and of course that wonderful stomach tube suction. My family was told I had an 80% chance of having to go back into surgery.
I began to responde to treatment on Sunday and it's been a slow road since then but improving much better this time. The tube was clamped off on Tuesday and I've been reintroduced to food slowly. Since I have proven that I can tolerate food and have movement I got to come home today.
It's soo good to be home but I probably won't catch up on posts till tomorrow.
Sorry I didn't get a chance to let anyone know what was going on and bless Karen she's been my rock but it's been an hour and a half drive each way to the hospital and she's been with me every day and then comes home and takes care of everything here.
Happy Late New Year's & of course Oklahoma Hugs, Love, & Prayers.
Keith
