Hi Wendy
This is one of Christine's various complaints (Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis or PSC). She was diagnosed with it about 3 or 4 years ago. Chris has been very lucky with her Crohn's in that she has not needed any ops.
Her GI monitors her condition by blood tests (cell count?) and it is controlled by one tablet (4 times daily). She was told at the outset that she could need a transplant if and when things get ugly, she was certainly not told that it was fatal - although it is not curable!! (which is different).
She was also told that if you do have a transplant, the PSC can (but only can) return.
If you need any more help/info I will ask Chris for you and if we can answer we will.
Love and Hugs
and (easy for me to say, I know - but)
DON'T WORRY
