How lovely to see one of the 'oldies,(but goodies) posting.
I was only thinking about you the other day, (having a good weep at the time though lol)
I have started to sort through Jo's stuff, (reluctantly but it has to be done sooner or later I guess)
and you'll never guess what I found, it was the Christmas card and NZ calender you sent to Jo and Tinks several years ago. and it reminded me of how much Jo really really wanted to go see New Zealand. (it was on her 'list of 100 things to do before ....etc').
I'm still finding it pretty hard to get used to not having Jo to talk to, go shopping with, share a private joke with, play silly games with, argue with....
I think I must be suffering from some kind of 'post trauma syndrome' cos I just can't get out of my head all she suffered as I helped nurse her in those last few months last year. Nor how much it was hurting to watch her slow deterioration and not let her see my stress...
I've still to 'discover' the 'enforced' new me. 36 years of being a mum then suddenly not being a mum any more makes you feel pretty superfluous to needs. still I suppose I'll get there sometime, (wherever 'there' might be lol)
My sister is treating me to week in Tuscany in early June, at least that gives me something to look towards, and help take my mind off things for a while, (though it will be hard not being able share the experience with Jo..)
I do hope you have a great time in Thailand hun, a friend of mine went there (as part of a 3 month world cruise... jammy beggar lol) and she said it is absolutely gorgeous there.
