Sorry to hear about you not being able to have a reversal.
I too am unable to have one, more due to the complications i had from the first surgery. But to be honest, i'm happy with my stoma and i don't think i would have it any other way due the lifestyle i have now. IF i was to have a reversal..i was advised that within weeks i would flare again...this is something i would not risk...
I've applied for DLA a couple of times and was knocked back. I just gave up...but i'm back in full time employment, since Jan this year (7 months after my surgery)..
