been to see the doc as have been a very poorly girl of late. Here's the update: good and bad news: ok, best news is: bleeding gone back to spotting only, only nauseus now not vomitting. pain lower left has gone just cramps occasionally, and have appetite back. Bloods taken last time showed crazy inflammation but think the steroids have helped reduce that. The doc says i can start to reduce steroisd by 1 mg per week back down to 7.5 mg - he's given me a calcium bone protector tablet which you take once a week and have to sit up straight for half an hour aftrer taking it, and upped ensure to 3 a day. I'm definitely on the mend but need to build up, bad news is i'm really really breathless on doing short walks, so much so i have to keep stopping to catch my breath so on listening to my chest he says there is a left sided heart murmer - new for me - that needs investigating and i have to go for some ECG and heart tests. My heart was ok pre op in February so this is a rather new and alarming thing, but hopefully we've caught it early. I assumed it was an electrolite imbalance but apparently not. So glad i gave up smoking 9 months ago, just wish i'd done it sooner.
It's not the best news but at least i'm on the mend. I'm trying not to worry about any heart problems though as that's the last thing i need) I very much doubt if i will be making it to notts this year (i'd need a zimmer frame if i turned up ! lol) unless i feel a billion percent better, and i'm gonna have to cancel Geneva but there's always next year. Strangley enough all i feel is GLAD i don't feel like i did 2 weeks ago, the crohns seems to be settling down and thats good enough for me. Got the funeral tomorrow then hopefully i can just rest rest rest and rest some more, though i'm under advice to pig out on lots of protein etc so pig out i will!!!
hugs your guys.
