I have a 68 Standard for sale that needs resto. Here are the details.
framerails, quarters, cowl, floors, doors, passenger fender, glass, trunk, roof has surface rust from vinyl top but should come off and not leave unrepairable damage, interior ie dash pad and front dash are in very good driving condition.
Bad:
needs hood, trunk lid and drivers fender I wil include them however the trunk and deck lid have some rust in them, I don't know if they are salvageable or not as I haven't stripped them. The fender is rust free but dented quite badly, not sure if anyone could pound it out but you never know there are some talented metalworkers out there. Front and rear valance have dents, could be worked back into shape by someone who knows what they are doing quite easily. There is one area on on the passenger rocker panel that was repaired and covered (and I mean covered) with bondo. I stripped it down and it looks like some meathead tried to pull a dent out and did a terrible job. No rust, but it will need repaired also.
All interior bits that are difficult to find in good shape are there. Needs carpet, headliner, kick panels and sill plates to be complete. Front buckets are included but will need recovering.
Included will be a 67 factory disc set up in front as well as an 8 inch with working drums, driveshaft, a C4 needing a rebuild and a 302 that will need gaskets but should be OK otherwise, was rebuilt about 15,000 miles ago was just torn apart and on an engine stand. Will come with entire 2V top end including carb.
I have already replaced three front inner fender aprons on the car and stripped and repainted the entire engine bay. The front grill assemblies are all there and have been blasted and powdercoated. I will include some extra grill pieces I have lying around. About 1/3 of the car has been stripped and epoxy coated the rest will need to be done to ensure what you have is pure clean metal.
I am asking $1500 for the whole set-up. I have been extremely up front about what the cars good and bad parts are. If I can't get it within the next month or so I am going to start parting the car until there is nothing left but the rolling shell (if that). I have clear title on the car, and I would love to see it go to someone who has the time to finish it. Time is what I don't have a lot of, so I am going to keep my 67 standard that needs lots less time to make the way I want.
