I have a 1967 Standrad Cougar for sale. I purchased the car this past spring from the original owner. The car was purchased and has spent its entire existence in Orange County California up until a couple months ago. It was also garage stored since new. The gentleman who owned the car hadn't driven this car much as he also had an XR7 which was his daily driver. The car has 113,000 original miles. It has been repainted once. The original color was onyx black and the car is now a charcoal grey with original black vinyl top. The paint is beginning to show it's age but still shows well. The car is a 289 2V, C4 with an 8 inch with 2.79 gearing. Came from the factory with PS, PDB and A/C, also has the convenience lights group. Everything but the sequentials are intact and working on the car. The headlight motors work flawlessly. I have the idler for the A/C as the smog pump has seized. This car runs and drives very well and would make someone a great cruiser that they could tinker with. Most importantly to those from other parts of the continent, this car has zero rust. I have been under and all around the car and there is no sign of any deterioration at all. Reason I am selling is I have had some major life events in the past couple of months and I want the car to go to someone who will enjoy it more than I will be able to. I am looking to get out of it what I have into it, which is about $8500. If I can't sell it I will keep it and drive/enjoy it. I also have a 68 standard project for sale.($1500)Very good body shell among other things. Which ever goes first is fine by me as I will still have a great car (just in different stages).
