However, if you want to....it did come to me that maybe something homemade would be fantastic. It wouldn't have to be anything time consuming, but what about something sewn with material that's sitting there, just waiting to be used? A little hat? It's just a thought. I know that the kids are like we are, when it comes to appreciating something from the hands and heart.
If not, what about a one-piece romper? I noticed that people all gave newborn sized clothing, which will be outgrown very quickly.
Usually, when I give a shower gift of clothing, I get 6 month old, at least. So that the poor, now-clothesless child has something to wear, lol!
Anyway, a gift is 100% not a requirement, but those are my thoughts.
There is one thing that they mentioned...a doll. I don't think that the stuffed dog was what they were thinking. She'll love it, I'm sure, but I think that they meant baby doll or rag doll when they said it. Once upon a time, I would have tried my hand at making one.
Do you want to guess at her stats? We are guessing her birth day and time - to see who's closest, birth length, color of hair, and eyes.
Here's the low down:
She could go into labor. If not, she gets pre-med on Thursday afternoon, and meds to induce labor late Thursday or early Friday. So, that narrows it a little.
Both parents have brown hair, and both are brown eyed.
Two grandparents are light-eyed, 2 are brown eyed.
3 grandparents are brown haired, 1 is strawberry blonde, and one of Ds's sister is blonde, the other had brown hair. There are a lot of redheads...not bright red, in our families. My mom, grandfather, and both aunts, and Dh's grandmother, plus some black hair...2 of my grandmothers, Dh's dad, etc.
Now you know what we do, lol!
