Zeus2190 Bernie and I both explained to you that Pat was not saying you have a bad dog. Pat has spent time trying to produce a certain looking bulldog and is only going to breed type to type. The dog you own from what I have seen in pics looks very nice but does not fit the type Pat wants to use for Cartel Bulldogs.
As for your question you asked Pat about this litter hopefully this will explain it better. Congo is an out cross I did with my dogs I use for pulling. I used Rocco to get more bone and genetic bulk muscle Rocco seamed to constantly produce. My idea was to keep the drive and functionability of my dogs but add the potential to genetically have a stronger dog by using Rocco (more genetic muscle=more power for weight pulling...in theory...LOL). The breeding happened to work in my favor and I got what I was looking for. Pat really liked how Congo came out but Congo is still not Pats type he is a little on the tall side and not as extreme for a Cartel Bulldog (does not hurt my feelings at all just not Pats Type, but Pat still wanted to use him in the Cartel line.) Genetically Congo bred to a 100% Cartel dog can still produce some pups that will end up Favoring Congo's build and some that will be what Pat wants for a Cartel Bulldog. That is why it would depend how the puppy matures before he would want to say it is a dog that will be used in his program. Hopefully this makes since.
I know you have a lot of passion and love for your dog and that is great, I met you and you seem like a very nice person. but I don't understand why you are still trying to bash Pat on this issue about not using your dog in his program. Bernie asked you to not create a bunch of drama about it and that there was no reason to be upset it does not change anything that you want to do. I myself plan on doing breedings that have nothing to do with the Cartel for my own working line. It is very unfortunate for you to now drag this issue out on other message boards because you might have jeopardized your chance of getting a pup from this litter you wanted. You have put Bernie in an awkward position so I hope you will not be upset if Bernie decides to not sell you a pup. To be honest if I was in Bernie's shoes I would not sell you a pup. It just does not make since for you to get a pup from a line that you want to bash the person that started the line.
I really hope you are successful with what you want to do but a little advice most breeders do not want to add more drama to their program than what already exists. I am not mad and I am sure Bernie is not mad at you and I hope we all can carry on without anymore animosity.
