If the ones closest to passing inspection decide to tell WPI/NTPA to stuff it,then what, the guys with sleds a long ways out from passing may not be able to afford to make theirs pass, so who is in the drivers seat ?? The guys that have built the most sleds that will pass, both understand the liability issue we are facing. It just should have been handled different, from the NTPA side. Sled dudes, and NASOA didn't see this comming, and neither did I,(or many tech. dudes) till right after the letters were sent to the sled dudes. At the DOT we go overboard getting everyones input, and making sure no ones FEELINGS get hurt, (sensitivity training and everything!!:0) ), so it takes forever to get anything done. We don't hold hands and sing cum-by-yah or anything, but almost that bad.
