(His scientist "father" found him after being abandoned, not made him.) All in all, though, you get the feeling that Astroboy and Rusty could exist rather comfortably in each other's worlds. Maureen

I've been watching the new Astroboy on Cartoon Network on Saturday nights. Now, I'd realized that Rusty the Boy Robot was in many ways based on the visual design of Astroboy. However, I have been very struck by how much the "family" and "emotion grid" plots on BG&R were apparently inspired by the same concepts in the story of Astroboy.
