Posted by Chris on 11/21/2002, 2:50 pm I doubt there's any way to avoid such a bad shipping job, unless you spring for the fastest shipping. Although the form of the shipping box might remain in the same horrible form, the time spent between ordering and receiving would be greatly less, so much less damage would ensue. Just a warning. The comic pages are fine, but cover is somewhat bent, and the edges are white from decoloration and bent. Not too cool.

If anyone plans on buying the "King Size Big Guy and Rusty", I highly recommend buying the fastest mode of shipment. I, unfortunately, went for the lowest form, and had to wait two weeks for it to arrive. Due to the large size of the comic (if anyone owns the Big Guy and Rusty TPB, it's twice that size... it's freakin' huge) the comic was shipped in a regular box, a box that had been deconstructed to contain the comic. However, because the box was not meant to be shipped that way, the flaps left tiny slits through which the comic was left unprotected. This meant that it would continually rub against the outside, rubbing away all the color on the edges and bending them, placing the comic in a less-than-perfect state.
