I do believe the flag of the Army Forces originally used a star with wings, though. Still, in that universe they could have switched to the roudel design later.

That's the one. I did see the similarity with the Air Force roundel. But I was hoping that somewhere in the story it said that the flag was for the BGY commission, or for some larger organisation.
