If you haven't then you should do that before you set up your straps. My car does not make a knocking sound when I jump. It is because I have shocks on there that keep the arm from "free wheeling" onto the stop. It still hits the stop, just dosent bash th piss outta it.

Didn't you say you were using air adjustable shocks? Most of the cars I've seen that do this are set up with coil overs, air shocks, or blown out shocks. The only time I ever put starps on a street baja was as a remedy for overly notched spring plates causing CV bind and "energetic disassembly."
