Posted by Daniel on February 5, 2007, 7:15:20, in reply to "Re: rear torsion??" First put the T bars into the housing and then stick a spring plate onto it and push it on with no tension on the bar. What you want to do is get the bottom of the spring plate to go almost exactly thru the middle of the bottom right bolt hole(on the drivers side, bottom left bolt hole on pass side). Once you get it right leave it like that and do the other side. Make sure you get 'em both the same before you proceed. Inside splines and outside splines on the T bars are not the same so when you start adding pre-load to it, make sure that you change the same number of teeth inside and outside on both sides. I have always set stock at 2 outside teeth from the starting position. The main thing is to just get them both the same and set 'em the way you want it. Did any of this make sence? Bottom line, don't worry about it. Get the spring plates on so they are even with no preload and then set your load the way you want using 2 outside clicks as a general reference for stock. You should have the whole back of the car supported WELL to do this the first time so you can step back and look at 'em both. Once you get used to it, you can set them one at a time.
