Honestly Fleg I have not done the T3 onto T1 rear drum swap, but it has been done and documented a lot. Basically you need both the T3 drum and backing plate, and if you have those that is the "stuff".
Another option is just buy Thing drums from Things Unlimited or aircooled.net as they take the IRS bug shoes and fit right onto the bug IRS setup. They run about $70 each and are German made so they should hold up for years and years.
