Hi Jimmy - Am another Merseysider (retired Merseyside bobby) living in Thailand currently riding an 1150GS. Plenty of choice of both new and 2nd hand BMs here - including two official BMW motorcycle service centers in BKK and one in Chiangmai. Far easier to buy one here - I have had three now and no hassles. On the other hand, trying to bring one in would involve major headaches, burocracy and expense. Not worth it IMO!!!
