If the Koran were a scientifically accurate book, we should get answers to questions which remain a mystery. For instance, when Muhammad claims to have ridden an animal to heaven and argued with Allah about how many times Muslims would be required to pray each day, how did he and his mount breath in outer space? That story reminds me of Childrens' cartoons where the characters fly in open spaceships to the moon and have nice casual converstaions on the way. That mistake is perfectly logical in Muhammad's day since people didn't know outer space is almost completely devoid of air. Also, by now one would think the scientists would have located Allah's throne. If Muhammad actually rode an animal to it we shold be able to locate it. Exactly where is it? 2. Also when you say, "the night covers the sun," what does that mean? It sounds as if you believe the night is like a blanket which you can throw over the sun so you don't see it's light. It is obvious you know that is not true. At best you can say that statement is "poetry," but I don't see how you can deduce any scientifically valid information from it. It is interesting that Muslims like to quote, and often misquote, the Bible and take it exactly literally to show it is scientifically incorrect, but when I turn the tables and ask them to explain passages, they claim I'm misquoting the Koran. I didn't translate the Koran, those translations I quote are by Muslims themselves. All I've done is ask for a logical explanation for your own holy books. The difference between us is I don't think the Bible has to be exactly accurate in every detail since I believe it was written by inspired men, not dictated word for word by God. Even if you could prove there are scientific inaccuracies in the Bible, that would make little difference to me since the overall message in the Bible is what counts not the scientific accuracy of every illustration. On the other hand, you guys are such literallists, you don't have that option. To disprove your theology all I have to do is show one scientific error in the Koran and you are done, burnt toast. I've shown several scientific errors in you holy books and not one Muslim has so far been able to give any evidence to the contrary.

I don't follow your logic here. You have stated a number of scientific facts as if they supported the Koran. I don't see the connection between the Koran and those statements.
