Posted by Illuminati on 5/15/2005, 9:45 am, in reply to "Re: Validity of the Bible" In the same manner there were two geniuses who transformed Judiasm into Christianity. Jesus and Paul. The teachings of these two men are so profound and counterintuitive it is impossible to believe Jesus' teachings are the result of liars who made up Jesus stories as they went along or that Paul was an immoral man who deliberately changed Jesus' teachings and substituted pagan teachings in their place. It makes as much sense as saying Newton was an imposter who stole his ideas from his contemporaries. If the pagans had teachings like those of Jesus why have we never found another society whose morality is based on love? Which pagan society taught us to love our enemies? If Paul was an imposter why do we find no pagan cultures which quote the Hebrew scriptures as he did to support their teachings? Where is the pagan culture which takes it's authority from the teachings of Moses and the prophets? In reality the message Jesus left for us is so counter intuitive and difficult for humans to understand it has taken 2000 years for humans to actually try His teachings in a large scale on an entire society. The result is Western society with the prosperity and freedom which we enjoy. Western society is the product of Christians minds united with science and philosophy in creating a society based on logic and goodness. In some areas such as Europe these principles are no longer respected or believed. The Europeans in their supposed wisdom have entered the "post Christian" dispensation. Secular society and pagan philosophy are now their guiding lights. Europe is only free today because of the active intervention by the United States and the Europeans don't appreciate their liberty or their liberators. If it weren't for this intervention Europe would be ruled by dictators today just as in any other pagan society. Communism and Nazism are attempts of Western men to form a society based on superior principles to the teachings of Jesus based on pagan ideas of selfishness. They have resulted in the deliberate death of millions of civilians and ruin for entire countries. Now Islam is taking over Europe which because it has rejected the teachings of Jesus has no moral will to resist. The result can be nothing but the imposition once again of totalitarian regimes now in a religious guise and the slaughter once again of thousands or millions of innocent people who get in the way of those folks who want to use religion as an excuse for their lust for power. The United States is the one country which has followed the teachings of Jesus more closely than any other country in the world. The results are a country where people from all across the world are trying to enter even if they have to enter illegally by crossing a desert without water or food. People from all cultures and ethnic backgrounds are pressing in through the borders which aren't well enough protected. We still haven't learned to apply the teachings of Jesus perfectly. The treatment of the American Indians at the hands of people who called themselves Christians was often wrong. The Christians did eventually realize their error and vigorously opposed the mistreatment of the Cherokee Indians which led to the "trail of tears" but to no avail. On the other hand, Christians did manage to banish slavery and worked for the freedom and emancipation of women. Now once again today American society is is facing attacks on Christians led by a cultural elete who prefer the teachings of Marx and socialism, which relate all conflict to economic terms and ignore the need for God and human morality, as their philosophy and despise the teachings of Jesus and those who are standing for the His Gospel. If they succeed in removing the teachings of Jesus from American's hearts, Western society will be no more and the United States will enter a period of steep decline and eventually also become either a pagan or Islamic totalitarian state. The elites don't much care which outcome prevails so long as they are rid of the teachings of Jesus. The teachings of Jesus are far to powerful to have come about from people with faulty memories who made up Jesus teachings as they went along. The early disciples of Jesus wouldn't have gone to their deaths for doctrines which they knew were deliberate lies. An understanding of God's unconditional love is not borrowed from pagan religions or philosophy. Freedom and liberty don't come from the teachings that "might makes right" or that people are actually animals in a constant struggle in which the only morality is based on the "survival of the fittest." The lion is recognized by it's claw. These things came from the teachings of the greatest moral teacher who ever lived, Jesus Christ.

When Sir Isaac Newton was alive he was a devout Christian and spent as much time studying the Bible as he did on math and physics. Once another mathematician presented a problem for his contemporaries to solve. Within a short time he received an long complicated solution by a mathematician named Leibniz and an another elegant anonymous solution. He immediately knew this anonymous solution came from Newton since Newton and Leibniz were the only men in Europe who could solve the problem. He said "the lion is recognized by it's claw."
