""I'm unaware of any prophet who can rightfully claim to have those attributes. Which human prophet will be worshiped by all people? Jesus' dominion is an everlasting dominion. Which other prophet can claim that honor?""
U are bringing that those verses again but i already responded to them.I will do so once again.
The verses from Daniel 7 do not mention Jesus(pbuh).Even if we were to assume that these verses were describing him then they do not prove his divinity.Take a closer look at the first part of the verse:"He was GIVEN authority, glory and sovereign power".
The most important word which people miss for some reasons is in bold.
The word "GIVEN" clearly proves that the one described cannot be God.He was GIVEN everything,so may be u could explain to us how God can be "GIVEN" everything? These verses are describing a human, not God.
"""I'm unaware of any prophet who can rightfully claim to have those attributes."""
It doesn t matter how much attribute u have.Attributes do not make u God as long as these attributes were "GIVEN" to you by God.
""Which human prophet will be worshiped by all people?""
Again we have a perfect example of a wrong translation. The actual translation should have been "SERVED" NOT "WORSHIPPED".Counter check it .
""The original aramaic word won't help you out here. You are correct that the word translated "worship" can also be translated "serve." In either translation, the object of the worship/service is a god. (ex. Daniel 3:12,14,17)""
I dont think i have to explain the difference between these 2 words.Serve does NOT mean worship.
Now i will quote John 17 verse 7:
Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.
Does this sound like God to u?
""Jesus, Himself, believed that only one miracle could serve as a definitive sign of His Messiahship"" And u quoted Luke 11
I am amazed u still believe in that prophecy.
Jonah was swallowed alive by a whale and remained in its belly alive for three days. For Jesus to have properly fulfilled the prophecy, he would need to enter the tomb alive and come out alive. Why should Jesus give this, of all signs,if he was to die and be resurrected?
Ironic, isn t it??
""Amir, are you now prepared to accept that the Bible does indeed teache that Jesus is God's son? Are you also prepared to accept that this designation is true? It appears that that is the case based on what you have posted here. If that is the case, then you need to come up with an explanation for this statement in the Koran which Muslims often use to deny that Jesus is God's Son.""
I'm sorry but u got it all wrong.Jesus is the son of God,YES ,BUT LIKE ALL OF US.SON OF GOD DOESN T MEAN BIOLOGICAL SON.The Bible doesn t support this fact at all.If Jesus is indeed the biological son of God because he is reffered as thus, then this shouls apply to all the others as well.I don t see what's so difficult to unnderstand?
Psalm 82:6
"I said, 'You are "gods" (Elohim; plural to El); you are all SONS of the Most High.' "
See?We are all "sons" of God.We can see clearly that it doesn t mean biological son?
Anyway God can t beget a son,can he?Is that what u are implying?
""If we are all God's sons, then how to explain this passage? From what I've read, it is possible that this passage in the Koran is an attack on tritheism not on Jesus' legitimate sonship.""
Since there were people at the time of prophet Muhammad who believed that God may have a son this verse was revealed to refute the fact that God can have a biological son.Allah almighty is making a direct claim here so we need no more evidence. It is not only illogical but is very insulting to God Almighty to say that he could have a son.
""The Bible uses the term son of God in exactly the way you use it""
Isn t that what i have been saying??
The word son of God doesn t mean biological son but rather servant of God.
