While at first glance it appears that the we can conclude that Jesus is not God.However this is not correct and using other verses,we can ultimately arrive at a logical explanation of the above.
Why would God call Jesus his only begotten son when we know that all of us are his childrens. The answer to this is because the Bible uses expressions like this to magnify people or to glorify someone on a certain occasion.
When God called Jesus His "only begotten son" that means that Jesus is unique. We are all God's sons, but there is only one "only begotten son." As I have already pointed out, Jesus claimed that He had an existence before His existence on this Earth. Perhaps other people have had and can remember previous existence, but I can't. That sets Jesus apart from me.

Now u quoted John 8:
57 "You are not yet fifty years old," the Jews said to him, "and you have seen Abraham!"
58 "I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I am!"
No where in those passages does Jesus say he existed before Abraham, this is bad mis handling and mis-understanding of the text. The fact that Jesus said that before Abraham he was, does not mean he existed literally.I would like u to prove from the passage that they do in fact show Jesus EXISTED before Abraham, because no where in those passages do we see Jesus claiming that he did exist and was on earth or in heaven.
I have already dealt with this verse, however I do need to respond to your statement that this is "badly mishandled." If you I have badly mishandled this verse, please provide us with the proper exegesis of the verse. The Jews remonstrated that Jesus could not have seen Abraham because He was less than 50 years old. Jesus answered that before Abraham, I am. His hearers understood exactly what He was saying and attempted to stone Him.
