3. Morality
If there is one area in which Muslims believe they are especially superior, it is in the realm of morality or righteousness. When Muslims view the world of the Kaffirs they see half naked women running around without the appropriate male escorts, having sex with whomever they wish.
The movie industry honors the very people who Muslims despise, prostitutes, alcoholics, children born outside of wedlock, drug addicts, and theives. What a Muslim sees in the Hollywood movies is a rich, arrogant culture which exaults in attacking the moral values which Muslims hold dear.
In their total abhorance of the torrent of filth and evil pouring from Hollywood, the Muslims assume that this represents Christianity. It is an unfortunate fact that many Christians have compromised their values to accomodate this depravity, however Hollywood in no way represents traditional Christianity. Hollywood is the product of the anti-Christian athiest/neopagan culture which first arose in Europe in France shortly before the French Revolution and the resulting reign of terror. The athiest, Karl Marx, studied the ideas of the French philosophers before issuing his own athiestic religious books which have been eagerly devoured by anti-Christian secularists ever since.
It is ironic that the Muslim's hatred of Christianity would lead some Muslim leaders to try to unite with these godless ideologues, but that is clearly happening. Apparently for them, their hatred of the Marxists' ahtiesm and immorality is less than their hatred of Christians. In the end, those Muslim leaders who make this type of deal with the Marxists reveal exactly who they are, hypocrits.
However, when we examine the Muslim's own morality, it does not appear to be much better than that displayed by Hollywood. Through the slave trade, traditional Muslim society demonstratedd that it does not honor the dignity of women any better than Hollywood. The slave women were displayed half naked to be inspected and handled by any man who happened to visit the market and expressed the interest in purchasing them. The fact that these women had been married before, and that these Muslim men were committing adultery, made no difference. The rules of morality in traditional Muslim society ultimately had nothing to do with sexual propriety and everything to do with male domination of women.
Because all traditional Muslim societies have supported and practiced slavery, traditional Islam honors rape, prostitution, and pedeophilia. Ultimately, Muslim moral outrage over the sins of Hollywood has nothing to do with the acts committed and everything to do with the fact that the Hollywood woman has the freedom to chose who she wishes to allow to see her naked body, who may handle her private parts, and who can father her children. Part of the genius of traditional Islam was that the religious leaders managed to convince their followers that the righteous person, if they were a Muslim, could lie, rape, steal, engage in prostitution, pediophilia, and mass murder, while simultaneously believing themselves morally superior to their victims. If they died killing other people who opposed their crimes, they were guaranteed entry into paradise where they could rape 70 virgins in a drunken stupor for all eternity. With that inducement, what red blooded male could ever resist Islam?
Howerer if you ask a Muslim what makes an act moral or immoral, he can not answer. Because they believe they are slaves to Allah, Muslims obey by rote memory the directives found in the Koran and hadiths, as interpreted by their religious leaders, without any understanding whatever about what actually makes some things moral and other things immoral. For the strict Muslim, so long as his behavior falls within the literalistic interpretation of the Koran, it doesn't matter what effect his behavior has on other people or on society at large, he is a righteous, moral man. For instance, the shia avoid the injunction against adultery with "free" Muslim women by the rouse of temporary marriages, so long as their "marriage" is sanctioned by the local religious leader they are sin free.
The Muslim may turn around and point out that Christian societies have at times condoned slavery, subjegation of women, stealing, mass murder etc. And if they do so, they are well within their rights. Because of the fallibility of human nature, Christians have frequently fallen into the same moral pathology which has plagued the Islamic community. As I have pointed out previously, there is not a sin which the Muslims have committed or an intellectual fallacy which Muslims teach which has not appeared within the Christian community in one form or another. In talking to members of other religious communities, it is important to remember that only God is perfect. The purpose of theology is to discover God's perfection so that in our own imperfect way we can reflect some of His goodness.
This theology about God's goodness is what Jesus came to teach us. When one of His contemporaries asked Jesus which was the greatest commandment here is what He said:
Matt 22:34-40
34 Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 36 "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?"
37 Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
NIV
What Jesus was saying is that there are basic moral principles of righteousness, love for God and love for other people which form the basis of righteous behavior. Righteousness is not bowing 5 times a day and saying a set of prayers, or fasting one month a year, but rather it is about loving God and loving other people. When He was asked who was this neighbor we are supposed to love, Jesus told the Jews it was the Samaritan, the member of the rival religion which they were to love. Furthermore, He made our love for other people the basis upon which He will judge our fitness for paradise. No matter how well we keep the rules, if we don't love other people we are lost. Hell will be full of people who kept all the rules except one, the rule to love others as we love ourselves.
At a deeper level, Jesus taught us that morality comes from God's character. The reason God values our love for other people is because He Himslef loves them, completely and unconditionally. When we perform a kind act towards someone else, because of God's love for them, we are doing it to God Himself. Here is how Jesus expressed this idea:
Matt 25:37-46
37 "Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?' 40 And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.'
41 "Then He will also say to those on the left hand,'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; 43 I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.'
44 "Then they also will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?' 45 Then He will answer them, saying, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these , you did not do it to Me.' 46 And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."
NKJV
Each of us has a choice, we can live in the light of God's love, can love other people as if they were God Himself, and then spend eternity it heaven, or we can live for self obeying a set of rules by rote without love and spend eternity in hell. If Jesus was right, and I personally have no doubt that He knew what He was talking about, where will He place suicide bombers? What about the person who dies to save the lives of other people? Who is showing God's unconditional love? So my Muslim friend, where would you like to spend eternity?
