Emir, sarcasm may make you feel good, but it doesn't make your point any more logical.
You obviously missed my point, so let me repeat it. Whether those men you mentioned were scientists or not is irrelevant. Their authority as scientists only extends so far as they follow the scientific method. Good scientists know better than to assert their authority as scientists in areas outside their areas of expertise.
To me, it appears that Muslims like you don't understand the scientific method or you wouldn't make claims like those you have posted. When scientists go to Muslim countries and make the type of unscientific statements which you quote, they don't stop to think they are hurting those Muslim people who want to bring their culture into the 21st century. I'm unaware of any legitimate scientist who thinks he can use the Koran to discover scientific truth.
Since you feel so superior, let me ask you a couple of questions which for someone as smart as you should be easy. Please answer these two simple questions for me with a "yes" or "no."
1. Do you believe every statement in the Koran is true?
2. If I show you even one statement in the Koran in which is not supported by science will you agree to either renounce the Koran or withdraw your argument that science supports the scientific validity of the Koran?
Please give me a direct answer. Don't give me some mealey mouthed answer like "I won't answer that question because I already know you can't find any quotations in the Koran which are not scientifically accurate" or "the only accurate Koran is in Arabic." It is circular reasoning to claim that the authority of science supports Islam while at the same time rejecting science when it disagrees with the Koran.
I wish to address directly a statment you made.
"REAL SCIENTIST AS YOU CALL THEM ARE ATHEIST AND THEY WILL NEVER ACCEPT ANY BOOK EVEN IN THE LIGHT OF PROOF AND THRUTH BECAUSE GOD GIVES LIGHT ONLY TO THOSE HE WANTS. SO PLEASE , FIND SOMETHING MORE CONVINCING,UYOU WANTED PROOF,I GAVE U.THERE S STILL TO COME!"
Although many scientists are atheists, many other top scientists are sincere theists who do accept the truth that God exists and accept the inspiration of the Bible. For instance, one of the greatest scientists who ever lived was Sir Isaac Newton. In addition to his scientific studies, he spent many years in deep Bible study. He was a strong theist who believed that his scientific laws proved God's existence since it was God who had made the laws in the first place. According to him, the more logical and reasonable the scientific laws he discovered, the stronger was the evidence for God because God deals with us through reason. The type of God which scientists reject is an illogical, irrational view of God.
Incidentally, you mentioned Galileo. Do you realize that Galileo's argument was with the authority of the pope to determine scientific truth, not an argument about the existence of God? Galileo like most scientists of his day was a theist.
The questions which I'm asking you are the same ones which more knowledgable Christians ask themselves regarding the Bible. What is the logical basis of your faith?
